Normally you see AWESOME, Inspiring, photos of Bridal Veil Falls from Yosemite. I found out that the best time to see the Waterfalls in Yosemite is from around May 1 to June 14th. (got this tip from one of the 20 year veteran shuttle drivers) Snow melts and spring rains produce the incredible water flows that are needed to get those "post card" photographs we all want. IF, you get lucky, you might catch a good flow the day after a good rain. Otherwise, you can expect to look into the sun, get lens flare in the morning, and not see images that you were expecting. You'll get something like the image above and your friends will think you can't shoot a picture.

Couple of other good tips for seeing Bridal Veil Falls.

The road is split in the area. There's a parking lot near the falls not too far from the tunnels, but easy to drive past. If you miss the lot, you can't whip the car around and go back on the road you came in on. You can return and get a view of the falls area from the other side of the Merced river (like I did). Don't do it.

Another tip. Don't let "non photographers" drive the car. They will argue, then vote to "keep driving" and they've got the wheel. You'll get no sympathy and no second chance for a photograph.

We were in the park for 10 days and this view above was "typical" of what you'll see in the morning. Don't be disappointed like I was. The closest shuttle only goes to El Capitan, and is a good walk from El Capitan to Bridal Veil and back to El Capitan.
